Mr. Fox is a Finnish Spitz cross who lives up to his name, both in appearance and agility! At home with his foster, he is a delightfully friendly character who wants nothing more than to fling himself onto any available lap, chair or bed, or come along for activities on a leash or in the car. He gets along with other dogs, but seems to prefer human company he would be fine as an only dog as well as a friend to another dog. He is curious but friendly with cats, and wants to play with them, but so far has not chased one. Mr. Fox does not enjoy his crate, but goes into it without complaint and is extremely happy when the time comes that his humans are home and he can get out! He loves to play, but is learning quickly that if he sits quietly, treats and petting are plentiful. We have seen fearfulness and defensiveness with strangers, however, so he is probably better suited for an adult household than one with children. He was found as a stray, so its hard to say what has happened to him. He will do best with an owner who will help him gain confidence and can work with him to overcome his fears. He weighs 11 lbs, tested negative for heartworm, is vaccinated, will soon be microchipped and is ready for adoption through Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary.
