Domestic Long Hair - Black and white - Dancer - Medium - Adult
DANCER, EDB: xxxx, black and white long hair In December xxxx Dancer was rescued from near a hotel, where she was homeless and hungry (she only weighed 6 pounds, whereas now she is a healthy 10!) When her rescuer put her in a carrier and she started to 'dance,' and she became reborn as "Dancer." Dancer has a very endearing way of walking that reminds her foster home of a ballerina.
Dancer loves to play - strings and lights are her favorite! She will chase prism beams and reflections off watches and silverware :) She is very sweet and lovable and will come sleep with you in bed if you want her to. She normally will sleep near your leg, but sometimes she might even stay curled up under your arm :) She normally won't come onto your lap on her own, but loves it if you put her on your lap during a movie. She has a very sweet little chirping/purring meow that will welcome you home and let you know when she needs new food or some attention!
She will likely be scared when she first gets to a new place, so she might take a few weeks to settle in, and a couple months to really open up to you. She needs a home where she can be the only cat since she is scared of most other cats. She has taken so long to get adopted because she was very scared initially, and also is still scared of other cats, and so cannot be shown well at Petsmart.
Please come meet Dancer at the Happy Tails Adoption Center, at our new location at xxxx Folsom Blvd. in Sacramento, CA! The Adoption Center is open Wednesday through Sunday Noon - 6 pm.
Like all Happy Tails cats, Dancer has been spayed, tested for FeLV and FIV, vaccinated, microchipped, treated with Advantage, dewormed, and checked out by a veterinarian.
